They Said I Should Run (VIDEO)

Blog June 12, 2013

It’s no wonder I’m so passionate about supporting women, and particularly moms, in putting their happiness at the top of their agenda  – apparently I’ve been talking about the challenges for women in “balancing” work and family since before I even had a child!

Look at this relic from the past I just came across on YouTube from when I was featured by local NYC news channel NY1 in their coverage of the “She Should Run” campaign.

Kinda crazy the foreshadowing…  Little did I know at the time I would end up leaving the practice of law entirely as it was so inhospitable to the needs of working mothers and end up creating my own career out of my passion for my mantra Happy Mama = Happy Family.

Anyway, I think it’s pretty amazing when we look around our lives and find that even though so many things have changed since we were little, or even since we were younger adults, so many things about us stay true, even without us realizing it.

In the Comments, I’d love to hear what passions, creative juices, or interests you’re still honoring that have roots in your childhood or former life.  It’s probably the purest version of being true to ourselves – which in turn in probably the most essential element of our happiness.

Here’s to keeping your happiness at the top of the agenda!Stacy Boegem on NY1 for She Should Run
