The #1 Key to My Successes

Business Tips February 11, 2016

It’s officially been 5 years since I relaunched myself as a coach, speaker and trainer, and while it’s been an exciting adventure, the journey has also been marked with uncertainty, risk, and many unknowns.

Yet I’ve continued to trek along, working my tail off in my commitment to be of service in the world in a way that is meaningful and rewarding.

Connect, Relate, Activate LIVE is one of my greatest achievements and sources of pride, and this year, when we were putting the finishing touches on the sponsorship deck, Michelle thought it’d be cool to include a visual showing all the great stuff we’ve done over the past year.

When she presented it to me, I must admit it felt really good.

Stacy Boegem 2015 in Review
As I look at this chronology of my professional life in 2015, there is one truth that keeps coming back to me:

I created all of this out of nothing.

Seriously.

How did all this happen?

And the answer to that is really simple.

So simple it might even sound trite to some.

But the truth is, all these opportunities that have come my way are a result of one thing:

I DECIDED.

That’s it.

I DECIDED.

I decided to get certified in coaching and to put myself out there.

I decided to take action to attract clients.

I decided to establish myself as an expert in my niche.

I decided I was good enough, smart enough, talented enough to make a go of it.

I decided not to allow my own negative self-talk and limiting beliefs get the best of me.

I decided to invest in myself.

I decided to work with a coach to keep me accountable and moving forward.

I decided that I deserve a business and life that I love.

I decided that I needed to overcome my fear of selling in order to grow my business.

I decided that I needed to learn all about marketing to grow my business.

I decided to find and learn from mentors, to watch webinars, to attend events.

Even when things got really hard, I decided not to quit.

I decided to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I decided that I’m worth it.

And you know what, in my work over the last 5 years, I’ve learned over and over that the ones who succeed, the ones who truly transform their lives – whether it’s losing 10 pounds, finding a soul mate, or launching and growing a successful business – they are the ones who make the COMMITMENT.

Each one started with a decision that there is a better way.  And then each and every day, they reaffirm that commitment.

It all starts with the decision.
