Set a Clear Intention for 2014
My word for 2013 was COMMIT.
And I did.
I accomplished some big stuff in 2013.
I have to consciously remind myself of that. Because, to be honest, there was a lot I wanted to accomplish that I didn’t.
It wasn’t a lack of work ethic. Lack of ideas. Or lack of drive.
It was fear.
Fear of not getting it exactly how I wanted it.
My word for 2014: FLY.
I am setting a clear intention that when the pursuit of perfection gets in the way of taking action, I just need to FLY.
When I’m not entirely clear on how I want a program to look, or what I want to write about, or how to market an offering, I just have to start creating the program, start writing, and start marketing.
If I wait for total clarity, the work doesn’t get done.
But when I DO THE WORK, I get clear. ACTION leads to CLARITY.
I can edit the writing. I can revamp the program. I can improve the marketing along the way. And in the meantime, stuff is getting done.
Are you waiting for clarity before moving forward on something in your life?
Enough is enough.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to know HOW you’re going to get from point A to point B.
Just take some action. The HOW works itself out along the way.
Since the evidence shows you’re far more likely to take action when you tell others of your commitment, let’s start with you sharing your word.
What’s your word for 2014?
What does it mean for you?
Tell me in the Comments below.
And remember, keep your happiness at the top of the agenda, because Happy Mama = Happy Family!
